Simple Purse









Supply List:
You really need two of each of these, in two different colors totaling four of each pieces.
The easy answer is have 2 yds of two different kinds of compatible quilting cotton weight prints, and cut them into these sizes.

4- 8" x 36" rectangles ( folded in half lengthwise for straps)

4- 7.5" x 13" rectangles ( centerpiece between straps)

2- 10" x 8" rectangles (fold in half for pocket)

Directions:

1. Sew side panels to center panels, making a "purse tube".



2. Sew bottom of purse together, matching front side seams to back side seams.


3. Flatten bottom and side, making a right angle. Sew across making a perfect triangle.

4. Sew curved top for ties. Leave about a 4 inch opening to turn right side out.

5. Pocket can be sewn inside of purse at anytime after purse "tube" is made.

6. Now sew two purse like this, and then put purses inside one another and sew together.7. Clip at strap and center corners, to enable a smooth turn to be made.
8. Turn and press.
9. Topstitch and Enjoy!
